Due to COVID-19 restrictions access to the ice climbing tower is limited to CESB members.
Ice Climbing Tower
The 3 sided permanent ice tower, situated at 141 Messager Street (very north end of Taché) offers a variety of ice climbing in varying degrees of difficulty.
The ice tower is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ( weather permitting ). Floodlights make evening climbing enjoyable. See calendar for more information.
The season usually starts at the end of December and lasts to the end of March.
A limited amount of ice climbing equipment is available (on a share basis) free of charge.
CESB member: $10
All others: $40 .
Evening climbing: Climbing may be cancelled when the windchill factor reaches minus 31. Please check the calendar and posts before going to the tower.
Daytime climbing: Climbing may be cancelled due to an extreme windchill factor. Please check the calendar and posts before going to the tower.
