Découvrez la montagne (DLM) week of the Club d’escalade de Saint-Boniface (CESB), is organized by the St. Boniface Section of the Alpine Club of Canada. This week of self-guiding activities will enable you to hike and climb in one of the most beautiful and spectacular alpine region of the Canadian Rockies. Some possible activities include:
- Rock climbing at the back of Lake Louise (mountaineering/climbing equipment can be rented from the Club)
- Trek up Mount Eiffel
- The Wenkchemna Traverse from Moraine Lake to Lake O’Hara
- A walk on the Athabasca Glacier
- Classic day hikes in the area.
To participate you must be a member of the St. Boniface Section.
Dates: from July 28 (Sunday) to August 3 (Saturday) – check-out Sunday, August 4, 2019.
Location:Lake Louise (Banff National Park).
Accommodation:Hi-Lake Louise Alpine Centre.
Cost: approximately $600 for accommodation and food (we eat together in the hostel’s communal kitchen with food cost and food preparation shared).
What is not included: transportation to and from Banff and potential professional guiding services.
Deadline for application: June 1, 2019. A non-refundable $50 deposit must accompany every application.
